“I work during the day and evening time when I have time for myself, I create. Sometimes I create five pieces at night, you know, I haven’t sleep because some things bother me, but you never see the bad things in my art. It’s always love and positive and always some beautiful colors.”

[So when did you start painting?]

When I came to America, I didn’t speak any words in English and it was for me, a new chapter of my new life. And I didn’t know what to do. From the financial state of my previous life, I chose to become an artist because I feel the energy and message from the universe.

I feel like my soul from inside it’s telling me to start to create art and showed me colors all the time. And it’s like, you have to do something, you have to do with colors.

[So tell me a little bit about your art style.]

About my art style. I like to do abstract art, figurative, three-dimensional, geometrical, and also texture art. And everything that I have and what I do comes from my insight. I like to discover things and I like to show in my art movements, connections, communication, love, and togetherness, vibrations, portals, tunnels, life, beautiful soul, kindness and happiness, and colorful life.

[So your paintings focus on that love and connection. What is the importance of those things for you?]

For a long time, I didn’t understand how to love myself because where I used to live they didn’t teach us to love yourself. They teach us to love everybody around you, not yourself. It’s like I find out through art and through different studies now how to love yourself first and then people around you. Right now I am study a lot about life, about how we came here, what we’re doing here, what is my purpose to be here and now, what kind of lessons we have to learn and become stronger in your life.

And that’s how I discovered myself and learned how is important to love yourself and people around you, to have connection with everybody and show kindness and togetherness because we cannot live by yourself. We always live in society. We have to be together.

Sometimes it’s good to be with someone, sometimes it’s not. But through art, I want to show it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter what happened to you. You have to be kind, be in love, to enjoy and to be happy!

[So in a sense, it is like making the art that you make helps you show love to yourself and to other people.]

Yes, it helps me. And I never like to turn back to the person, who hurt me. Never want to give back the bad energy, I let the universe handle it. You know, I always give love. It doesn’t matter to me. I forgive and forget and I movie on. And it’s just I think it happens because this person is not happy this way, he likes to hurt someone because he is not happy.

And that’s for me. I think it’s not a life. You have to move on and you have to create and transform everything into love and light and receive a lot of light and energy from the universe. Because you’ve given love to the universe, you know, you’re sending good vibes, good and positive vibes to the world.

And I want people to see this art and enjoy and understand so many different things through my art.

[You talked about how starting art in 2019. Have you seen how the art impacts your life or affects your life.]

Sure. Because I understand if not my art, I probably wouldn’t have survived in my life, because of the situation with the abusive relationships in my past . You go down or go up, you know, and I am thankful to the God I chose to go up and the art that helps me to survive. When I start painting in 2019, in three months I created more than 50 pieces of art.

I worked during the day and at night and when I have time for myself. Sometimes I can create five pieces at night. On those days I haven’t slept because some things were bothering me, but you never see the bad things in my art. It’s always love and positive and always some beautiful colors.

[It sounds like you’re channeling those emotions or those experiences that might not be very positive, but you’re turning it positive. How does your process look?]

Process? I just sometimes, you know, I see something during the day and it affects my mind, A lot of ideas come over to me at night. I see the beautiful flowers, the ocean, beautiful sunsets and it is an inspiration. Sometimes I see the vision of something and I am like, ‘Oh, I like this color. I have to put something together.’

Or even, you know, reading some magazine with interesting pictures, for example, a beautiful woman, standing with a beautiful skirt. And, from the perspective, it’s so interesting so I have to create something like that also.

And sometimes it comes to me at night, ‘you have to create this thing’, and it’s interesting because how I did my first painting. I didn’t know how to start and I turned on YouTube and said to myself and wrote, ‘how to start an abstract painting?’.

And I saw one video, the man said you have to put these colors and just move those colors I watch for three minutes. And I said, ‘Oh, I could do it. It’s easy for me.’ And I say, ‘First my painting it’s going to be for the Universe.’

The Universe Waterfall of Colors. And it’s interesting because my ex saw the painting and he said ‘it’s amazing, you are really talented.’ I said, thank you. And he said ‘what are you going to call this picture?’ And I said I want to name it Universe and Waterfall of Colors

He said ‘Oh you cannot do the name like that’ and I said ‘I want like that!’. And that’s how it starts. And then in my first three months, I had 50 pieces of my art and I wanted to exhibit this art. I want to show it to the world. And when I had the exhibition I sold three pieces of my art.

I just show it to people, around the neighborhood and they love it. And it’s so interesting because the first my art collectors who bought my art, the woman who works as a teacher at the University of Design. And her husband, he’s a lawyer and knows about art a lot because his mom, she was also an artist and she went to different art schools.

He has a big collection of her art also. And for me, it was so interesting because if these people, they admire my art, they have a beautiful house, very modern, like it’s a very expensive and really wonderful house and when they first bought my pieces it was like a message for me ‘if they bought my first pieces they see the future in my art and on me!’

[How, how does it feel to have your art in someone’s home?]

Oh, I love it, because, you know, I want my art to be around the world. I amalready have my art in Moscow, Australia, Germany, New York, Switherland, Kazakhstan, Texas

[And then so a little bit about the gallery. What is having a gallery been like?]

It’s an interesting story about the gallery. Before I start to open the gallery, I have three different exhibitions in different places. There’s one, it’s in Marina Del Rey before and our second one it was in Silverlake, Los Angeles. And the third one was in Laguna Beach, California. And I have a Laguna Beach gallery connection. It’s called Forest and Ocean Gallery with a great owner. For ten months the gallery owner chose some of my art work and he gave me a special wall to keep my art over there, I was so excited and he sold some of my pieces. One day I was driving in my car with two of my big pieces to the gallery in Laguna Beach and I bought special fastenings to hold the art on top of my car. And two of my big paintings flew away on the freeway. The one painting was called Living Colors. And another one is called Life Passing By. It’s a very powerful piece.

And it’s name, Life Passing By, flew away and I stopped my car and I didn’t know what to do. And I have a friend driving with me and I say, ‘what do I have to do?’ And he says, ‘Let’s go around. Maybe we can pick up them.’

And we drove around and you know, it was disappeared, everything. It’s like a magic happen. I didn’t know what to do, cry? I didn’t know what to do. But I’m starting to drive, so I focus on the drive. And I think you know what, it’s a message from the Universe. I have to open my own gallery. In two months, I opened this gallery, I just started looking for the place and I found this place and the story about this place also.

Because of what happened when I came to Los Angeles, I feel the vibe since my first step on the land, I saw the vibes coming from the earth. I said it’s a strange feeling here it like the earth talking to me!

And when I just come in LA, I don’t speak any words in English, you know, I didn’t speak English at all, I just say Hello and smile. That’s it. And not one word in English. Of course I went through a very hard time to find a job and things, you know how to survive here.

And when I find this place and after I find this a place where I’ve been in my previous life. I find out this is actually my place. And I open here and I want to have this gallery like a home.

It’s not a cold cold gallery. It’s what I want. Like a home. People come in and enjoy it. The people can see the original art from all over the world, have a conversation, network, present their culture here, drink tea, drink coffee, drink wine and enjoy this time. I know I want to enjoy everything and also I want to go international because I want to show others arts too, because I know how hard it is for artists to start showing their art through my experience

I know how hard it is to start doing something and some of them are very afraid because they don’t know how to start. When I started I showed one of my art pieces to an art curator and he said, ‘Wow, you have amazing art. You have to combine your figures. It’s abstract art work and it’s going to be very, you know, very powerful.’ And when he says this to me, I say, ‘wow, it’s a gift. He gave me a power.’ And now what I try to do to new artists, I try to show them they can do it. I can help you, you know!

I opened this gallery and I want to help international artists from all over the world to show their art also. And we already have artists from Germany, Spain, Moscow, Ukraine, City of Krasnodar, City of Sochi, Kazakhstan, Iran, Mexico, Armenia, Israel, artists from LA and more.

And now what I am doing here at the Gallery, I do it because I know how art helps me and now I’m organizing different art classes for people who don’t know how to draw, how to do art and create, or how to start. I’m organizing those classes and also I’m helping others women who are domestic violence survivors to help them to recover from the pain with art.

I’m doing the different things right now. I’m teaching kids to love our nature, our planet, art, and to do and create things. I’m teaching Russian Language art and also teaching different creatives. My passion in this life is art, dancing. I add dancing to my art classes also.

And we do women’s circles, yoga, meditation, sound bath, different types of things inside the gallery. We even teach different languages. We have Chinese, French, Spanish and Russian teachers here. Everything I create here is this to bring people together and help them to have their free time to feel the freedom, happiness, love, kindness and be happy!
