Shaghayegh Sheryl Benjy is a Beverly Hills–based artist whose work blends whimsy with
deeper spiritual symbolism. Her paintings are layered with hidden messages about the universe,
unconditional love, and the power of positive intention. Rooted in the belief that each person is
here to fulfill a unique soul’s purpose, Sheryl uses her art to inspire others to live authentically
and bring light into the world through their gifts.
In 2016, she created Body Art for the Soul, an immersive experience in which she transforms
live models into living canvases. Through this process, Sheryl invites participants to reconnect
with their inner essence, celebrating their individuality and awakening a sense of empowerment.
Her work often centers on elevating women, helping them embody their strength, beauty, and
divine feminine energy. For Sheryl, art is not only a form of expression, but a pathway to
healing.
Since 2013, Sheryl has been painting, exhibiting, and selling her work privately in Beverly Hills
and beyond. Her exhibitions include Area Contesa Arte in Rome, Italy, The Chocolate and Art
Show, Art Landing, Beyond the Lines Art Show, and her work has been featured in Vogue,
Voyage LA, and Shoutout LA, highlighting her distinctive body painting series.
In 2023, she collaborated with Iskar Art on a Woman, Life, Freedom mural on Melrose Avenue,
honoring Mahsa Amini and amplifying the voices of Iranian women. Born in Iran, Sheryl
immigrated to the United States with her family during the Iranian Revolution. Her heritage
continues to influence her most recent body of work, which sheds light on the ongoing fight for
basic human rights and freedom in Iran.
Sheryl is also the author and illustrator of the children’s book Spirits Magical Journey. After
returning to art professionally at the age of 36, she has embraced her creative path with
intention and devotion, continually evolving in her practice.
Through her art, Sheryl seeks to expand her reach globally—sharing a message of love,
resilience, and awakening, and inspiring others to step fully into their light.
